Fairy Tale Trail
Lodz is the birthplace of cult cartoons that have accompanied generations of Poles. “Teddy Bear Uszatek,” ‘Colargol Bear’ and ‘Enchanted Pencil’ are just some of the classics that were created in Lodz, thanks to Se-ma-for, an animation studio that for 70 years created both fairy tales for children and films for adults, even winning two Academy Awards!
In Lodz, you can take the Fairy Tale Lodz Trail, which leads to ten small monuments depicting characters from Lodz animations:
- Teddy Bear Uszatek - the first monument on the trail, located on Piotrkowska Street near the Museum of Cinematography.
- Cats Filemon and Bonifacy - in front of the Museum of Cinematography.
- Sparrow Ćwirek - in front of the entrance to the Palm House.
- Maurycy and Hawranek - in Na Zdrowiu Park, at the entrance to the zoo.
- Penguin Pik-Pok - at the entrance to the aquapark Fala.
It is worth looking for other characters on the trail, which also commemorate the achievements of Lodz animation.
