St. Nicholas Day 2024
On December 6th in Łódź, at Piotrkowska 89 and in Sukcesja, the 25th edition of Mikołajki organized in collaboration with the Consulate of the Kingdom of Denmark took place.
On this special day, we managed to fulfill the dreams of nearly 150 children from 4 foster care homes in Łódź, offering them not only gifts but also countless moments of joy
and fun.
Younger children (up to 13 years old) wrote letters to Santa Claus, and we, as his helpers, made sure that each of the 65 little ones found their dream gifts in their packages.
On Mikołajki day, they began their adventure with a movie at the Helios cinema, where everyone received a snack pack, and then the children came for games, animations, snacks, and a meeting with Santa at Piotrkowska 89.
Older children (up to 18 years old), thanks to the support of Monnari, could find
warm scarves, hats, and gloves in their packages. Additionally, they could enjoy wonderful cosmetic sets, sweets, and vouchers for visits to the Łódź ZOO! Due to their almost adult age, we organized a movie screening of “Letters to M” along with a snack pack for them. The entire 70 older teens were very lively
and even two hours of bowling at the King Kul bowling alley in Sukcesja did not take away their energy for a moment!
Additionally, for an exceptionally gifted girl - Blanka, we managed to find
and fund a preparatory course for the eighth-grade exam, and for a boy from Congo, who faced a truly terrible and difficult fate - a Polish language course along with psychotherapy.
